Spring Fever

Virginia had beautiful weather last week, which gave me a bad case of spring fever. I have a long to do list for the outside of our new house and can't wait to get started. We bought our house in August, but had several things that needed changing inside, so we put the outside on hold.

I became a stay-at-home mom last year and finally have the chance to focus on other things besides work, and finally get a chance to find out what I enjoy doing. My daughter loves being outside and helping plant flowers, so it shouldn't be a problem keeping her interest this spring. My plan is to create two new flowerbeds where I am going to plant a couple of dwarf fruit bearing plants. This will be great to help teach my daughter to pleasure in growing your own food.

It has turned cold here again, which some ice and snow on the ground, so I know that I can't go out and plant yet. As the days get nicer, we will be spending our days enjoying the sunshine and making the outside of our home beautiful.
